A Vintage Love Story

I have such a sweet treat for you guys today. A Vintage Love Story. The idea was designed by Wedding Coordinator Pam Barefoot. She wanted to bring a couple’s story to life and I thought the idea + outcome was so sweet. Such a perfect story to share for Valentine's Week. We took pictures on a day that it snowed heavily and was 17 degrees outside. The gorgeous snow really set the mood for the pictures. Here is the sweet story of their relationship in photos captured by the talented Katie Stoops.

They met at a Train Station.

Have their first date in an Ice Cream Parlor.

She says Yes at the Ice Skating Rink.

And their wedding took place in a 100 year old home.

Exotic Fashion Safari in Wedding Dresses S/S 2010

South Africa is the spectacular backdrop for a bushveld bride who stands her ground in a strapless crepe sheath with a floor–length fringe overlay and a jeweled crystal collar finished with fringe.

This single–shoulder silk–cotton stunner has a magnificent midriff panel made from shells, feathers, glass beads, and stones. The ball–gown skirt has a windowpane design.

A jeweled crystal neckline and medallion–style embellishment are a striking contrast to layers of featherlight tulle. The gathered bodice features an open back.

On a walkabout in body–fitting finery. Silk–crepe is gathered into a single–shoulder, long–sleeved gown with leather, suede, and Nappa embroidery.

Rows of roses line the silk–chiffon gown's back and straps; the front features a V–neck and delicate bodice pleating.

Real Wedding: Bodee + Patrick's Elegant Wedding

I am so excited to share this gorgeous wedding from the one and only Elizabeth Messina. Her photos are beautiful and timeless. If you don't read her blog, Kiss the Groom, you really should. She shares the most beautiful photos and sweet poems. Ok, back to today's wedding! The wedding took place at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles. From Elizabeth, I love this wedding. Bodee + Patrick are such a sweet couple and their style was a perfect mix of modern and classic. Bodee wore the most stunning pair of hot pink dior pumps.

I could not agree more about her shoes! And love Patrick's socks.





Fabulous pink shoes are Christian Dior and Bodee's dress is by Ulla Maija. How glamourous are they?!





From Bodee, I loved the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion....the gorgeous chandeliers....green carpeting, gold accents.. the fountains outside. It was all so glamorous! My theme was yellow/green springtime. I wanted a happy, bright wedding with a mix of glamour & elegance.









My favorite memory was the reveal. Elizabeth brought my husband over to see me. His eyes were closed. I was so nervous. He opened his eyes and there I was. We embraced, kissed, cried...and spoke such intimate words to each other. Elizabeth captured those private moments...and I am eternally grateful to her.





The gorgeous bouquet and florals were done by Commerce Flowers. Hair & make-up by Karen from Kelly Zhang Makeup.





I love all the special moments that Elizabeth captures.

You can find pretty sweaters lots of places, but Anthropologie always seems to have the loveliest options - with pretty lace and lots of ruffles. It also looks like that is where the first bride found her sweater. :)
